Artwork Reproduction Photography

Fine Artwork Photography and Printing for Artists

The main goal of capturing your original artworks is to produce digital assets. The creation of a useful file can be an income-generating resources for your art business in many ways for the rest of your life (and potentially even beyond!).

High quality art reproduction files are incredibly useful and hold immense potentials. They can be used for many purposes, as marketing tools on your website, through to potentially life long sales of reproduction prints and products like and assorted merchandise collection. They might become part of a book, a comprehensive anthology of your artistic journey or a lifelong retrospective exhibition.

Many artists will also consider it as a form of protection against loss or damage to original artwork.

Developing a good library of your works in high quality digital form should have a central role in your art practice.

"A digital asset that unlocks the true potential of your artwork."

As an Artwork photographer I specialised in painting photography for artists, galleries and collectors.

My craft revolves around creating meticulously detailed, high-resolution photographs of artworks, suitable for a vast number of applications including websites, social media, magazines, advertisements, and most important, the creation of fine-art gallery-quality giclée prints ready to sell to the ever-growing art market.

The images I capture go through a meticulous process, ensuring uniform lighting and true colours evaluation. I use the latest cutting-edge digital technology and professional equipment, my main goal is to achieve faithful reproductions during the shooting and post-production phases.

For artists, the significance of possessing high quality images of their creations for marketing and widespread reproductions cannot be overstated. I love to work with any kind of artist, style and mediums spanning across oil paintings, watercolours, acrylics, gouacheepoxy resin, drawings, sketches and any other forms of 2-dimensional art.

"At the core of my work lie top quality, professional service, quick turnaround and affordable pricing.

These elements converge to create an all inclusive experience that celebrates and amplifies the unique essence of every artist and artwork I have the privilege to engage with."

Why Having an Artwork Photographer Matters:

  • Have you ever been confused by a painting that you saw in person because it looked different from the photo?

  • Most of the time, your artwork’s "first impression" won’t be made in person, rather, it will be through a photograph.

  • As a professional artwork photographer, I’ve developed and refined a proprietary system to affordably and accurately capture all the details, colour and nuances of your artwork.

  • Through my photographic technique and skills I enable your painting to truly express itself so it can make an authentic introduction to your fans and potential buyers.

  • The person who will falls in love with the photo I create of your painting will consequently have their expectations met when they experience the artwork in person.

  • And finally, when the original piece will find its new home, don’t underestimate the importance of always having a high resolution reproduction photograph to remember it.

I love art, and one of my great joys is that I get to connect with talented artists and immerse myself in their creations. Unlike the confines of a gallery where art can feel distant and constrained by frames, my work offers me the privilege of experiencing artwork in its raw form.

I have the opportunity to closely examine every detail. This close interaction enables me to have a better appreciation of the intricacies of colour harmonies and intricate elements. These insights prove invaluable as I meticulously fine-tune the shooting session, ensuring that every shade and colour is faithfully represented in the files and the prints.

I learn so much from the established artists in their techniques, expert use of colours and brushwork. Students and new artists are amazing to work with, I get to witness the evolution and refinement of their unique styles over time is a truly fascinating experience for me.

"I’ve always been connected to arts throughout my personal life and photographic career, and this part of my job elevates my understanding and appreciation of art to an entirely new level, giving me the chance to learn, grow, and forge an unparalleled relationship with creativity that makes me feel very lucky."

Maximise and enhance your creations and its reach

I provide a comprehensive service that allows my clients to effectively enhance the reach and impact of their creative works. Through a combination of specialised photographic techniques, I offer two primary aspects: enlargement and details/macro photography.

Stitched Panorama:

My approach involves a specific photographic technique to capture multiple images of a given piece of artwork. Instead take one picture of the entire piece, by using a specific set of lenses I capture close up images of portions of the artwork at the time. These individual shots are then meticulously stitched together using advanced software to create a single, extremely high-resolution file. The result is a digital image that retains exceptional detail, colour accuracy, and texture.

This file can be printed at significantly larger dimensions than the original artwork while maintaining its integrity. This process allows artists to produce large-scale reproductions of their pieces without any details lost, suitable for various applications such as gallery displays, exhibitions, or large installations.

This is just an example, number of photos and final resolution varies for each artwork

Details and Macro Photography:

Through macro photography, I focus on specific sections of a piece to highlight only some portion of it or its minute features and details. These close-up images showcase the artist's meticulous craftsmanship and the subtle elements that might be missed when viewing the artwork as a whole.

These detailed shots are particularly valuable for merchandise and promotional materials. I love to work with my clients to find the best way to utilise them for creating various marketable items, like mini prints, greeting cards, postcards, bookmarks and much more. The high-resolution of these images ensures that every intricate line, texture, and colour variation is faithfully captured, making them suitable for a wide range of applications.

The original artwork was 60 x 40cm and can be printed 180 x 120cm with this amount of detail!

"I put all my energy and skills to empower artists to present their work on a grand scale and also to explore its intricate facets in a versatile and marketable manner."

Gallery Quality Prints

We use a large format 44 inches, wide colour gamut printer, designed for high-end digital photographic and print reproduction of artwork. This printer is capable of producing incredible high detail art prints on some of the finest papers available.

You can choose to customise your prints in any aspects: from size to ratio, send us an email if you want to know more.

Our "giclée" printers use archival, pigment-based inks, a combination of 12 different colours, to reproduce several millions colours, some of which are almost impossible to achieve by normal printers.

A giclée print is printed with special pigment inks that are fade-resistant and can last for 100+ years, depending on factors like paper type, installation and  storage conditions. By using pigment based archival inks, the archival properties of a giclée print are significantly superior than traditional type of prints in quality and longevity.
